Xbox Playtime and Activity
Xbox does not publish hours played. There is no public number for it, unlike Steam, so no site can show your Xbox hours without you signing in. What Xbox does make public is your activity: which games you have played, when you last played them, and how far you got in each one. That is what this pulls together.
Xbox doesn't publish hours played publicly — this shows games, last played, and completion.
Why nobody can show your Xbox hours
Steam publishes hours per game in its public API. Xbox does not. Microsoft tracks the time, but it is only exposed to you when you are signed in to your own account, and it is never attached to a public profile.
So if a site claims to show anyone's Xbox hours from just a gamertag, it is either guessing or asking you to log in. We do neither. If you want your real hours, our guide to seeing hours played on Xbox walks through the in-app route on your own account, which takes about a minute.
What this tool does show
Everything below comes from public Xbox data, no login:
- Every game with public history. The full list, not just recent ones.
- When each game was last played. Sort your library by what you actually came back to.
- Completion per game. Achievements unlocked out of the total, as a percentage.
- Gamerscore per game. Where your score actually came from, ranked.
- Played this year. What has been in rotation recently versus what has gone quiet.
Completion and gamerscore end up being a better signal than raw hours anyway. A hundred hours in a game you never finished says less than a game you took to 100%.
How to use it
- Type a gamertag.
- Hit search.
- Sort by activity or completion and read down the list.
Game history needs to be visible in Xbox privacy settings. If the list comes back empty, that setting is almost always why.
FAQ
Can you show my Xbox hours played? No, and neither can anyone else from a public profile. Xbox does not publish that number. You can see it yourself, signed in, in the Xbox app per game.
Why does Steam show hours but Xbox does not? Different platforms, different public APIs. Valve exposes playtime per game publicly. Microsoft treats it as private account data.
What can I see instead? Games played, last played dates, achievement completion, and gamerscore per game. For most people that answers the real question, which is where the time went.
Can I check someone else's activity? Yes, if their game history is public. Type their gamertag the same way. Many accounts keep it private, so do not count on it.
