Steam Replay

Steam puts out a year in review every December and then it disappears. This gives you the same kind of recap on demand, whenever you feel like looking back. Games you played, hours you sank, new titles you picked up, and the shape of your year on Steam.

Steam's public API exposes lifetime totals and the last two weeks, not month-by-month history, so this recap is built from that.

Your year, summed up

  • Hours this year. Total time logged across the year, with the monthly rhythm so you can see when you actually had time to play.
  • Games played. How many different titles got real playtime, not just how many you own.
  • New to the library. Games added this year, and which of them you actually started.
  • Top games. The handful that defined the year, ranked by hours.

Why people call it Steam Wrapped

The nickname stuck because it plays like the music apps' end of year recaps. Steam's own version is officially Steam Replay, and it lands in December. If you missed it, or you just want to check where you stand partway through the year, run it here instead of waiting.

How to get your recap

  1. Make sure your game details are public.
  2. Paste your profile link or username above.
  3. Pick the year and read the recap.

FAQ

Can I see past years? You can pull whichever year the profile has visible playtime for. Very old years may be thinner if Steam was not tracking hours the same way back then.

Is this the official Steam Replay? No. This is an independent recap built from public profile data. Steam's official Replay is a separate feature on Steam itself.

Nothing shows up. Your game details are likely private. Set them to public and reload.
