How to see your Steam Replay
Steam Replay is Valve's year in review: the games you played, the hours you put in, the months you actually had time, and how your year stacks up against everyone else's. It goes live for a few weeks each December and then quietly stops being on the front page, which is why most people end up searching for it.
The direct link is store.steampowered.com/replay. Sign in and it loads your most recent Replay.
If you would rather not wait for December, our Steam Replay tool builds the same kind of recap from any public profile, any time of year.
When does Steam Replay come out?
Mid-December, every year. The 2025 edition went live on December 16, 2025, and rolled out gradually over the following day or two, so seeing it a few hours after a friend does is normal.
One detail that catches people out: the recap does not cover the whole year. Steam Replay 2025 counted play between January 1 and the end of December 14, which means the last two weeks of December never make it in. A game you binge over the holidays lands in next year's Replay instead.
How to find it
In a browser
- Go to store.steampowered.com/replay.
- Sign in if you are not already.
- Scroll. The whole thing is one long page.
In the Steam client
While Replay is running there is a "Review your Year on Steam" banner on the store front page. Click it and you land in the same place.
On Steam Deck
Press the Steam button, choose Store, move across to the More tab, then pick Steam Replay on the right. Windows Central has the same walkthrough if you want it with screenshots.
On mobile
There is no separate mobile version. Open the same URL in your phone's browser and sign in, or use the store tab in the Steam mobile app while the banner is up.
What is actually in it
- Total hours for the year, broken down month by month.
- Your most played games, ranked.
- Most played genres and tags.
- Achievements unlocked over the year.
- Keyboard versus controller split, and which devices you played on.
- A few comparison stats putting your numbers against the wider Steam population.
Seeing past years
Replay pages stick around after the promo ends. The URL takes a year on the end, so store.steampowered.com/replay/my/2025 pulls up the 2025 recap, and swapping the year gets you 2024, 2023 or 2022, which is as far back as the feature goes. Nothing on the site links to them once December is over, so the URL is the only way in.
Sharing it
Each Replay has share buttons for X, Bluesky and Facebook, plus a copy-link option. The link is only viewable by other people if your profile and game details are public. If yours are locked down, friends clicking through will get an empty page. The public profile guide covers which settings to flip.
If yours is missing or the numbers look low
- It is not December. Outside the window there is no banner. Use the direct URL.
- Offline play is not counted. Steam Replay does not include time played while offline or disconnected, so a year of offline sessions can come back looking thin. More on that in how Steam tracks your playtime.
- Some games never qualify. Preloads, unreleased titles, playtests and delisted games are left out.
- Your game details are private. Replay reads the same playtime data your profile exposes.
- You played after December 14. It rolls into the following year.
Want it now instead of in December
That is the whole reason we built the Steam Replay tool. Paste a profile, pick a year, and it produces the recap on demand from public data. If you are after lifetime totals rather than a single year, the Steam Stats tool ranks your entire library by hours, and the hours played guide explains where Steam hides those numbers.
FAQ
When does Steam Replay come out? Mid-December. In 2025 it arrived on December 16 and covered play from January 1 through December 14.
Can I see an old Steam Replay? Yes. Add the year to the URL, for example store.steampowered.com/replay/my/2024. The feature started with 2022, so that is the oldest one available.
Why are my Steam Replay hours lower than my profile hours? Replay only counts one calendar year, and it ignores time played offline. Your profile total is lifetime and includes hours Steam synced later.
Is Steam Replay the same as Steam Wrapped? It is the same thing. "Steam Wrapped" is what players call it because of Spotify. Valve's name for it is Steam Replay.
Can other people see my Replay? Only if your profile and game details are public. Otherwise the shared link shows nothing.
